Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Gospel Genius ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use the Platform.

Gospel Genius is operated by Digital River Technologies ("we," "us," or "our") and is available at gospelgenius.ng. These terms apply to all users, including registered members, ministry leaders, and anonymous visitors.

2. Description of Service

Gospel Genius is an educational Bible trivia and reading platform designed to help Christians grow in their knowledge of Scripture. The Platform includes:

• Bible quiz sessions across multiple categories and difficulty levels
• A Bread from Heaven question feature with global participation statistics
• Bible reading plans with progress tracking
• Leagues and leaderboards for friendly competition
• Ministry tools for church leaders to engage their congregations
• A Bible Log — articles on Christian living, Bible study, church history, and portraits of faith

3. User Accounts

To access most features of Gospel Genius, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain the security of your password and accept responsibility for all activity under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account at support@gospelgenius.ng
• Not share your account credentials with any other person

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that have been inactive for more than 24 months.

4. Acceptable Use

Gospel Genius is a respectful, inter-denominational community. You agree not to use the Platform to:

• Post, transmit, or share content that promotes hate, discrimination, or division between Christian denominations or between Christians and people of other faiths
• Harass, bully, or demean other users based on their denominational affiliation, nationality, or doctrinal position on secondary matters
• Spread theological misinformation or false doctrine without clear scholarly basis
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or its infrastructure
• Use automated tools to scrape, harvest, or bulk-download content from the Platform
• Impersonate any person, ministry, or organisation
• Circumvent subscription restrictions or share premium access credentials

We welcome honest theological discussion and questions. We do not host doctrine wars. Our focus is the 66 books of Scripture that all traditions share.

5. Subscription Plans and Payments

Gospel Genius offers free and paid subscription tiers. All payments are processed by Paystack, a PCI-DSS compliant payment provider. By subscribing, you agree to:

• Pay the fees listed at the time of purchase, in Nigerian Naira (NGN) unless otherwise specified
• Provide valid payment information and authorise recurring charges for subscription plans
• Notify us within 7 days of any disputed charges

Refund Policy

We offer a 7-day refund window for new subscriptions if you are not satisfied. Refunds are not available after 7 days or for partial subscription periods. To request a refund, contact support@gospelgenius.ng with your order reference. Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days via your original payment method.

We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers are not affected until their current billing cycle ends.

6. Ministry Accounts

Ministry accounts are subject to additional responsibilities. Ministry leaders agree to:

• Only invite genuine members of their congregation or Christian community
• Not use ministry tools to spam or harass individuals
• Ensure quiz content created on the Platform is accurate, Scripture-based, and non-divisive
• Take responsibility for the conduct of members they invite

We reserve the right to revoke ministry verification status or access if these standards are not maintained.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform — including quiz questions, explanations, Bible Log articles, design elements, and software — is the property of Gospel Genius or its licensors, except where noted.

Scripture quotations are taken from the King James Version (KJV) and the World English Bible (WEB), which are in the public domain. No copyright permission is required for these translations.

You may share individual questions, Bible Log excerpts (up to 200 words), and your personal quiz results for non-commercial purposes, provided you attribute Gospel Genius and link to gospelgenius.ng.

8. Disclaimers and Limitations

Gospel Genius is an educational tool, not a substitute for pastoral counsel, theological education, or church community. Bible trivia answers are based on widely accepted scholarly and exegetical consensus, but we acknowledge that some questions of interpretation are legitimately debated across traditions.

The Platform is provided "as is." We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely accurate. To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.

Our liability to you for any cause of action arising from your use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if you violate these terms, with or without prior notice.

Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. We will retain your data as required by law and our Privacy Policy, then delete it.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising from these terms shall first be submitted to good-faith mediation before any formal legal proceeding.
