Yes. Gospel Genius is free forever for the core features: up to 5 quiz sessions per day, Bread from Heaven, the reading plan, the global leaderboard, and the Bible reader. Paid plans (Basic and Ministry) remove the daily quiz limit and unlock Advanced and Scholar difficulty levels.

You can browse the Bible Log and reading plan without an account. However, taking quizzes, answering Bread from Heaven, tracking your streak and points, and joining leagues all require a free account.

Gospel Genius is inter-denominational. It is built on the 66 books of the Protestant Bible canon that all Christian traditions share. We welcome Anglicans, Baptists, Catholics, Pentecostals, Presbyterians, and every other tradition. We avoid divisive secondary issues and focus on Scripture itself.

There are eight categories: Old Testament History, Law and Covenant, Poetry and Wisdom, Prophecy, the Gospels, Acts and Epistles, Bible People, and Doctrine and Theology. You can also take a mixed quiz across all categories.

Five levels: Beginner (foundational facts), Standard (regular church-goer knowledge), Intermediate (deeper study required), Advanced (serious Bible students), and Scholar (seminary-level). Advanced and Scholar are available on the Basic and Ministry plans.

You earn points per correct answer based on difficulty: Beginner 15 pts, Standard 25 pts, Intermediate 40 pts, Advanced 60 pts, Scholar 85 pts. Answer in under 10 seconds and earn a 5-point speed bonus. Points accumulate and unlock Biblical Regions.

Your streak tracks consecutive days you have completed at least one quiz. It resets if you miss a day. Maintaining your streak builds a consistent daily Bible study habit.

Questions reference passages primarily from the NIV and KJV, and draw on major English translations. Scripture references are shown after each question, and the in-app Bible reader links to multiple translations.

Bread from Heaven is a single Bible question published every morning. Every user answers the same question on the same day. After answering, you see how your response compares with the wider Gospel Genius community. It makes Scripture engagement a short, daily habit.

The reading plan guides you through structured daily readings — typically one Old Testament passage, one New Testament passage, and a Psalm — taking you through the entire Bible in a year. You track progress per day, and your history is saved to your account.

Biblical Regions is a progression system. As you earn quiz points, you unlock geographic regions of the Bible — from the Wilderness of Sinai, through Canaan and Jerusalem, all the way to the isle of Patmos. Each region has a minimum point threshold to unlock.

Leagues are competitive groups. The global league ranks all users by total points. You can also create or join a private league for your family, small group, or church — compete with people you know and track everyone together.

Yes. Gospel Genius is a Progressive Web App (PWA). Once installed, core features including the Bible reader work without an internet connection. Quiz results are queued and synced when you reconnect.

Basic removes the daily 5-quiz limit so you can take unlimited quiz sessions. It also unlocks Advanced and Scholar difficulty questions. Billed monthly or annually. Suitable for serious individual learners.

Ministry includes everything in Basic plus church-facing tools: ministry profile registration, member management, congregation progress reports, and custom quiz creation. Designed for pastors, Sunday school teachers, youth workers, and discipleship coordinators.

You can cancel at any time from your Account Settings page. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period.

Yes. Payments are processed securely by Paystack, a leading payment gateway in Nigeria. Gospel Genius does not store your card details.

Questions are written and reviewed by believers with strong scriptural literacy, covering Old and New Testament history, theology, church history, and Christian living. Each question is checked for biblical accuracy before being published.
